"WHAT I THINK ABOUT WHEN I THINK ABOUT AIKIDO"
This is not another book about Aikido techniques. It's about Aikido principles and how anyone can make use of them to live life more fully. If you practise Aikido, it might just help you improve, but it's for anyone who feels life could be a bit better by making a few simple changes in their lives.
ABOUT SENSEI MARK PECKETT
Sensei Mark Peckett 5th dan has been practising Aikido for 40 years and teaching for over 30. Although he believes Aikido is an excellent form of self-defence, particularly for older people and women, as well as a way of getting fitter and more flexible, he also believes that the teachings of Aikido can be used to make our everyday life better.
MORE ABOUT GOSHIN AIKIDO
The Japanese martial art of Aikido is a comprehensive system of throwing, joint-locking, striking and pinning techniques, coupled with training in traditional Japanese weapons such as the sword, staff and knife. Founded by Morihei Ueshiba early in the twentieth century following his own extensive study of various armed and unarmed martial systems, Aikido represents a potent distillation of centuries of Japanese martial knowledge. It is one of the most widely practiced budo, or martial ways, in the world.
Goshin Aikido Club teaches traditional aikido for all abilities in a friendly atmosphere.
